Arnel Castillo began his career as a Mortgage Professional in 2000. As a result of his persistence, knowledge and commitment, the vast majority of his business now comes from positive referrals from past clients, who will state that strong communication, a high level of integrity, and a smooth process, has been the reason Arnel has exceeded his clients expectations for ten years. Arnel has handled all types of residential loan transactions; first time home buyers, move up buyers, Conventional, FHA, VA, and 203k rehab loans. However, his specialty is incorporating modern strategy when structuring a mortgage, utilizing a “holistic” perspective. Adding value, he has worked alongside with financial strategist and local media figure Matthew Sapaula from Money Smart Radio, and together have implemented positive change with many clients who were otherwise unaware their mortgage and finances were not in balance. Arnel was a sponsor for the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago’s “Money Smart Week” in 2008 to help promote fiscal literacy, and has read “Missed Fortune 101” and “Last Chance Millionaire” by New York Times Bestselling author, Douglas Andrew, several times. Arnel preaches Liquidity, Safety, a Rate of Return and Tax Benefits when structuring a mortgage, and practices what he preaches. While other “loan officers” are suggesting outdated “post depression era” methods that often do not match well in the current environment, promote an illiquid situation, or miss out on an opportunity for tax arbitrage, Arnel is collaborating with other cutting edge trusted professionals, implementing modern mortgage and financial strategies, and has set himself apart from the competition. Finally, because he was raised in a household where his parents worked 60-70hrs a week in the medical field, and were frequently working during major holidays, he believes life is about balance. Arnel’s been happily married for 7 years and has a 3yr old daughter who is his life. He met his wife as his student while teaching martial arts classes, so now he has his own personal sparring partner. And together they do their best to both be present during their daughter’s early developmental years, because a good upbringing begins at home. Arnel is an avid salmon & trout fisherman, visiting Lake Michigan harbors and tributaries during season, and a car enthusiast, participating as a service provider supporting a local European car club, where members frequently get together, pooling knowledge and resources to help maintain each other’s vehicles. Lastly, Arnel enjoys taking his family up to Wisconsin for weekend family retreats where he soon hopes to teach his daughter how to fish, as his father taught him over 30yrs ago. |
