Juan is a Chicago native and graduated with honors from the great Lane Technical High School in 1995. After spending two years managing and operating a family restaurant in San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico, Juan decided to begin a career in Real Estate after much encouragement from friends and family due to his high ethical standards and relationship skills. After a few years of working for different mortgage bankers, Juan finally found his home with American Street. Since joining the American Street team in 2008, Juan has been instrumental with guiding homeowners, especially the first time home buyer, through the Casa Puertorriqueña, a community center, and other community organizations. "I entered the mortgage industry because I wanted to really make a difference within the community. I love educating people and helping them understand mortgage finance and even more importantly, understanding their credit report and the steps it takes to be considered elite status." In his free time, Juan is the President of the Hermosa Softball League, consisting of 200 adult members, and also the manager for his Christian Softball League team. Additionally, he is an avid salsa music collector with over 1,500 albums. Currently, Juan is a participating member of the Puerto Rican Chamber of Commerce, the Wicker Park Bucktown Chamber of Commerce, and the Logan Square Chamber of Commerce as well as the Illinois Association of Mortgage Professionals. |
